James is an exceptional CPA with over 25 years' experience public practice experience in a variety of business environments and accounting standards both in Australia and abroad. His quiet demeanor belies his incredible tenacity and dedication to delivering his clients the best possible service.

Educated in Sri Lanka, James practised both there and in Dubai as a chartered accountant, auditor and tax manager, before migrating to Australia in 2012. He spent a few years finding his feet with small Melbourne accounting firms before joining ASVWadeson in 2016.

James is pleased to now become a partner and is looking forward to undertaking more advisory work. His ability to find creative solutions to problems, whilst being extremely process-oriented and undeniably patient, is his strong suit.

Regarded by his peers as the captain of the ship who calmly steers the stormy seas, James is a family man who enjoys a game of backyard cricket with his son when he’s not cheering on the Sri Lankan national team!
